Today we’ll talk about the importance of food in Chinese culture. We will learn a few common Chinese sayings and talk about some famous kinds of cuisines.

Chinese: 民以食为天

[China has a lot of cuisines, and there are four kinds of famous cuisines.]

首先是北京菜，然后是四川菜，第三个是广东菜，第四个是上海菜。（Shǒuxiān shì Běijīngcài, ránhòu shì Sìchuāncài, dìsān gè shì Guǎngdōngcài, dìsì gè shì Shànghǎi cài.）
[The first is Beijing cuisine, the second is Sichuan cuisine, the third is Guangdong cuisine, and the forth is Shanghai cuisine.]
